Kenneth C. Kollmeyer

Kenneth C. Kollmeyer, 97, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, May 14, 1913, in Mehlville, MO, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Kollmeyer was a retired security guard and machine operator for Alcoa (Aluminum Ore Co.) and enjoyed buying and selling real estate. He was a faithful life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Caseyville, IL and a WWII United States Army veteran.

Kenneth was a very uncommon, common man. He was a dedicated family man and loved his extended family. He especially loved gardening and was a avid follower of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a successful self taught businessman who had a corny sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his:

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-7 P.M., Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Caseyville, IL with Rev. Jonathan Winterfeldt officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
