Dneise C. Karr, nee Cunningham, 86, of Swansea, IL, born Monday, June 9, 1924, in Vandalia, IL, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Karr worked as a teller & loan officer. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairview Heights, IL.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Husband: Dr. George L. Karr
• Parents: Raleigh and Eva nee Roberts Cunningham
• Brother: Charles Cunninghan
• Sister: Maxine Bingham
• Brother in infancy

Surviving are her:

• Daughter: Marcie (Larry) Goodman of Swansea, IL
• Brother: Wayne (Donna) Cunningham of Prairie Village, KS
• Sister: Twila Mae Ellsworth of Edwardsville, IL

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairview Heights or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-7 P.M., Thursday, March 24, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, IL and from 10-11 A.M., Friday, March 25, 2011 at church.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 25, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights with Dr. Mitchell Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.

Dneise was my second mom in my teen years and always a delight to be around. This world will not be the same without her and she will be missed. Goodbye sweet lady.
