Georgia F. Richards

Georgia F. Richards, nee Green, 91, departed this life Sunday morning, June 21, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. Born in Rockview, Missouri on March 7, 1918, she became a lifelong resident of the E. St. Louis and Belleville area after moving in early childhood with her family to E. St. Louis. Georgia was married in 1935 to her husband James V. Richards, with whom she shared 63 ½ years of life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she delighted in welcoming and entertaining guests in her home. She was an active member of several Assemblies of God churches over the years, serving as Sunday School teacher, youth leader, member of the Women's Missionary Council, leader of the senior citizens fellowship, and visiting sick and homebound individuals.

She will be greatly missed by her family, but they rejoice and are comforted to know that she is with the Lord. Georgia's family wishes to thank Dr. James Wade and the staff members at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Family Hospice in Belleville, and Cedar Ridge in Lebanon, who provided such loving care for her in the last days of her life.
