Freda I. Proctor

On July 18, 1912 Freda I. Proctor was born to Joseph and Clara, nee Reid, Rogers in Gallatin County, IL. She ended her long, full life on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at St. Paul's Home in Belleville, IL.

Freda married Ross E. Proctor on July 8, 1929 in E. St. Louis, IL and he preceded her in death in August 1967. To their union were born 2 daughters, Betty (Tom) England and Carol (Bruce) Gray. Carol died in November 1991 at the age of 54.

In addition to her parents, daughter and husband she was preceded in death by her:

During her working years she was employed at Swift & Co., Sears Roebuck and Mallo's Bakery. She took great pride in all her jobs and always made new friends. She loved her family, her special dog, Pearl, playing piano, flowers, anything purple and special Lunch Bunch friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:45 am on Monday, October 19, 2009 from Kurrus Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Belleville, IL with Father Matthew Elie officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
