Richard E. "Rich" Pries, 72, of Fairview Heights, IL, born Wednesday, October 14, 1936, in Lyons, New York, died Friday, July 10, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Pries worked in Audio-Visual Information for the Civil Service at Scott Air Force Base. He was a member of St. Clair Lodge #24 AF and AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine, Past President of the Color Guard, Belleville Shrine Club and Uniformed Units, Southern Illinois Court #86 ROJ, Belleville-Swansea Moose Lodge #1221, Fairview Heights Elks Lodge #664, Past President of Southside Improvement Association.

He is preceded in death by:

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Ceremonial walk throughs at 7:00 p.m. by the Color Guard and at 7:13 p.m. by the Jesters. Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Horn officiating. Entombment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
