Allene Jordan, nee Spacher, 79, of Saginaw, TX, formerly of Belleville, IL, born January 10, 1929, in Swansea, IL, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Marine Creek Health and Rehab in Fort Worth, TX.
Mrs. Jordan worked as a apartment manager of the 512 Sabal Palm Apartments in Miami, FL for 15 years until it was sold and then managed another apartment complex until she returned to the Belleville area. She met her husband, William "Bill" Jordan, concert pianist and composer, at the "Bar of Music", which he owned and operated. The "Bar of Music" became a legend in the night club circuit. Bill left Allene with a great legacy of beautiful memories and songs such as "Dream Fantasy" and "When I Walk with You" which he wrote especially for her. Allene was an avid reader of educational books and loved working with children. In her later years she exemplified how to face adversity with a smile.

She is survived by:
- Brother: Walter A. Spacher and sister in law of Claxton, GA
- Sister: Valeria "Val" Spacher of Saginaw, TX
- Sister: Joyce (Wayne) nee Spacher Muren of Belleville, IL
- Eight nieces and nephews
- Twenty one great nieces and nephews
- Seven Great great nieces and nephews
The family would like to thank Mrs. Jordan's extended family in Fort Worth, TX, for providing many celebrations, the staff of Marine Creek for their loving care and her fellow residents for their kindness and friendships. Thanks also to the Vitas Hospice for their assistance in caring for Allene.

Visitation: Friends may call Sunday, January 4, 2008 from 1 to 3pm at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at Sunday, January 4, 2008 at 3:00pm at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Jack McEvilly officiating. Interment will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL on Monday
