James P. "Jim" Hess

James P. "Jim" Hess, 81, of O'Fallon, IL, born Tuesday, November 29, 1927, in East St Louis, IL, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, IL surrounded by his family.

Mr. Hess was a retired maintenance supervisor for Granite City Steel for 34 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, IL and a U.S. Navy Coast Guard veteran.

He is preceded in death by:

  • Parents: Fred C. and Margaret nee Minnette Hess Sr.
  • Brother: Fred Hess Jr.
  • Sister: Irene Parnham
He is survived by:
  • Wife of 62 years Margaret "Peggy" Hess nee Baskette
