Marie Anna Carter, nee Stone, 86, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, January 9, 1923, in East St. Louis, IL, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at her residence.

Ms. Carter was a retired operator for Southwestern Bell. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Belleville, IL, Job's Daughters and retired Telephone Pioneers of America.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Kurrus Funeral Home with Dr. Arthur Tinge officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
