Elmer H. Strieker , 88, of Belleville, Illinois, born Saturday, May 1, 1920, in Germantown, Illinois, died Monday, October 27, 2008 at his home.

Mr. Strieker worked for Hussmann Refrigeration in Bridgeton, MO for 40 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and a WWII Army Veteran.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 P.M., Thursday, October 30 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. There will be a prayer service at 4pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A funeral procession will leave from Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL at 9:45am, Friday, October 31, 2008 for a 10:00 am mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Belleville, IL with Msgr Bill McGhee officiating. Interment will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, IL
