Hazel I. Sluder, 88, of Tuscola, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born September 20, 1919 in Jasper County, IL, passed away at 3:30pm Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Sluder was a retired school teacher, having taught Home Economics and English at Westervelt High School, Westervelt, IL and Wirth Junior High School in Cahokia, IL. She was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church, National Retired Teachers Association and was a life master in American Contract Bridge League. She received her B. A. Degree from Eastern Illinois University and her M.A. Degree in Education and post graduate work from the University Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Monday, April 28, 2008 at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wiesner officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
