Jean Lavender, nee Wamble, 68, of Belleville, Illinois, born Sunday,
November 19, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008
in Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs. Lavender was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies
Auxiliary, 1957 Graduate of Santa Barbara High School in California. She
was a loving military wife who was adventurous, loved to travel and
living abroad, including 3 years in Germany and 3 years in Japan.
Preceded in death by her parents Troy and Irene nee Johnson
Wamble.
Survived by her husband, James O. Lavender of Belleville, IL,

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:15 pm Monday, August 11,
2008 at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Captain Michael Carey
officiating. Private Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks
