Floris G. Kendall , nee Rhodes, 95, of Swansea, IL formerly of E. St. Louis, IL, born Saturday, December 14, 1912, in Pensacola, FL, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs. Kendall spent her childhood in Griggsville and Pike County Illinois. She retired as a buyer in the fabric department of Famous Barr Company and was a sewer and needle work enthusiast. After retirement she became a volunteer for Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, serving more than 8,550 hours. She was a member of Winstanley Baptist Church and rarely missed a service, even in her later years.
Floris loved to travel to visit her family in various parts of the world. She also enjoyed gardening and sitting on the swing in her daughter's garden. She loved to play Scrabble with her family and lived life to the fullest in her 95 years of life.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Winstanley Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Phillips officiating. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Belleville, IL
