Donald L. Hamner 80, of Belleville, Illinois, born January 6, 1928, in Ottawa, Kansas, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Mr. Hamner retired as a Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force in 1969 after 24 years. He also retired as a manager of various unemployment offices for the State of Illinois after 21 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church and attended Floraville United Church of Christ. He was a member of Topeka Lodge #17 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine (Legion of Honor) and American Legion Post #58

- Wife of 61 years Wilma M. nee Riebe Hamner whom he married July 19, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 P.M., Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. There will be a Masonic service at 7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:15 am Friday, September 26, 2008 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Friz officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO
