Betty L. Doehler, nee Mize, 84, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, November 16, 1924, in E. St. Louis, IL, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Doehler was an active member of Crossroads Christian Church and instrumental in the merging and potential building or a new church. She served, over the years as moderator, deacon, elder, trustee, choir member, pastoral relations and several committee chairs. Her church was a vital part of her life.
She worked for the Libson Shops, Agency on Aging, Apartment Community of the Shrine and Beacon of Belleville. She also served on several boards in the community plus doing volunteer work. She was one who enjoyed being active.

Her family was her life and she loved them all!
She will be sadly missed by many friends, some of 50 years plus.
Memorial: Memorial services to be held at 11:00am, January 10, 2009 at Crossroad Christian Church, with Pastor Dr. Douglas Cripe officiating. Private burial at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
