My condolences to the Brown family and prayers uplifted. I happened to catch this obituary. During the 1970s, my parents Donald and Evie Lawson, then living in Marissa, IL, had gotten acquainted with Dick & Ginny through the Lay Witness Mission ministry and became dear friends along with Hank and Rosalie Hayes. And we children got to be more acquainted as well, though regrettably so, not as much time to develop solid friendships as I found them to be likeable. I was closest in age with Kathy, but also thought of Donna as a big sister during our Lay Witness gatherings that I got to attend. And Ron had married fellow Marissa resident Patti (now with the Lord), so we knew of them through her side of the family. So I have fond childhood memories especially in gatherings with the Hayes and Browns in their homes. Though we have all since dispersed as my family had moved to California in 1979. They’re all still living there (except my father who went to be with the Lord in 2014). I may be found on Facebook under C. Paul Lawson for any family members wishing to connect. I am now living in the greater Houston, TX area. Prayers will continue.

She was like a mom to me, since 1990. What an example of Christianity and faith in action.
I’m deeply sorry for your loss but I praise our Heavenly Father for ending her misery. I love you all.

Ginny was one of my mom’s dearest friends. I went through District 175 school system in Belleville and knew the Brown children very well. I was a 68 graduate of Emge and graduated from Herrin High School in 72 under the name of Vanessa Shepherd. My condolences to Ginny’s children and grandchildren.q!
