Sandra Michaela Wren

December 5, 1945 - July 27, 2018

Service Date: July 31, 2018

Sandra Michaela ( Mikie)  Wren, nee Allen, 72, of Belleville, IL; born December 5th, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska passed away Friday July 27th at home  peacefully surrounded by  family and friends.

Heaven gained an Angel Friday afternoon and Earth lost a Saint. She was at home surrounded by the family she loved. Sandra, Mikie, Aunt Mikie, Mom, Grandma. She had many titles which she was proud of, one in particular was “Gigi”. We will be forever grateful for the unconditional love she had for our children and grandchildren, they were her “Doll Babies”. For those that may not know her, she was the type of person who would have a wrapped gift at her house on Christmas Eve without a name on it. In the event that someone might show up unexpected, just so that they would not feel left out. Still to this day we can’t figure out how she was able to be in so many places at once. You could always count on her attendance at any event no matter how big or small it was. Caring about others was what she was all about, there really wasn’t a lot you could do to upset her. Her positive outlook on life and demeanor was contagious. If she was ever dealing with an issue, she would just smile through it and say “everything is going to be fine”. Even up to her last days, she maintained that very same composure. She lived a life that she wouldn’t mind her kids knowing the details. Thank You for loving us all. We all love and miss you dearly.

Mikie’s passion’s in life was her faith and dedication to God, the outpouring love she had for her family and friends and willingness to please all. She was committed to her career as Administrative Assistant to Chairman Mark Kern and to the “Gifts From The Heart” charity
