Service Date: May 5, 2018

Joe, my friend. I only had the opportunity to know you for a short time. But in that short time I learned of your love for the Cardinals and the game of golf. Love your sense of humor and I am going to definitely miss that. I learned what a good family man he was and a good friend to many. From my family to Joe's, I offer our sincere condolences. Going to miss you buddy.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Joe's passing. I'll miss those conversations concerning baseball, fishing, golfing, and life in general we'd have on the Metrolink heading to and leaving from work at Busch Stadium. Joe was such a personable fellow with an infectious smile. Joe always cheered you up whether in good times or in bad times. He definitely will be missed by all of us Cardinal Ushers who ever met him. My heartfelt sympathies to the Oplt Family on your and our loss. May you rest in peace, Joe.

We met Joe when we sat in the section at Busch Stadium where he served as an usher. We immediately liked him and looked forward to seeing him at the Cardinal games. We knew he was not in good health, but he never complained. We enjoyed hearing his jokes and laughing together. He will be missed by all who met him through the years. Sending our sincere sympathy to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Oplt family on the loss of your loved one. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love in death. So I hope that reading Revelation 21:3-4 will give you some comfort. And may the God of tender mercies continue to bless you and strengthen you through this difficult time.
