Dolores C. Thompson, 87, of Belleville, Ill., born July 13, 1930, in Deweese, NE, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville. Mrs. Thompson graduated from St. Teresa Academy in East St. Louis, Ill. in 1948 and was employed as a secretary for Kelvinator Refrigerator Co. in St. Louis. Dolores met her husband William D. Thompson Sr. of East St. Louis, Ill. in 1950 and they were wed in 1951, enjoying 50 years of a blessed marriage before his passing in November of 2001.
Mrs. Thompson was a dedicated mother of four children, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandsons and two step great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Queen of Peace Parish in Belleville. She enjoyed the birds and flowers in her yard and was a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals having attended several playoff games over the years. Dolores also enjoyed her St. Teresa Alumni Luncheons and the monthly card parties at St. Luke’s with friends.

Her greatest family joy came with the arrivals of her seven great grandsons and two step great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call after 4:00pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A funeral procession will leave from Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL at 9:45am, Thursday, April 12, 2018 for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Belleville, Ill with Father Matthew Elie officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
