Lois "Betty" Moothart
Lois Elizabeth "Betty" Moothart, nee Bain, 83, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, May 24, 1927, in Decatur, IL, died Monday, October 11, 2010 in Belleville.
Mrs. Moothart was a homemaker and jack of all trades. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, St. Clair Country Club, and numerous committees throughout the Belleville Area to help with the improvement of the community.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Husband: Edward M. Moothart
- Parents: John and Agnes nee Morenz, Bain
- Son: John Edward Moothart
Surviving are her:
- Daughter: Marsha Moothart of West DeMoines, IA
- Sister: Lorraine White of Vandalia, IL
- Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces and Nephews
Special thanks to the medical staff at Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care they provided.
Memorials: : Since Betty loved animals in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Marsha Moothart for the advancement of No Kill shelters in Iowa.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9-11am on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel with Father David Darin officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, IL.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and promise of prayer. I knew Lois from her visits to the rectory (office) at St. Teresa Church, where I worked. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be truly missed. May God grant Lois eternal rest and peace.
