Lillian P. Burris, nee Tiefenauer, 88, of Ruston, Louisiana, formerly of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, September 25, 1924, in Caledonia, MO, died Monday, November 19, 2012 in Ruston, Louisiana.
Lillian was a retired teacher for Millstadt Consolidated Grade School. She was a former member of Westview Baptist Church Swansea Illinois and Teacher Retirement Club.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Husband: Monroe C. Burris Jr.
- Parents: Joseph and Maude nee Lee Tiefenauer
- Son: Dean M. Burris

- 3 Sisters
Surviving are her:
- Son: Don (Victoria) Burris of Swansea, IL
- Daughter: Karen (Leon) Stamm of Ruston, LA
- 6 Grandchildren
- 4 Great Grandchildren

Visitation: Friends may call from 10:00 am - 11:15 am Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:15 am Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Sutter officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
