William John Meier

William John Meier, 76, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, December 5, 1934, in Belleville, IL went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL surrounded by his family.

Mr. Meier was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. He worked as a Machinist for Century Brass in Swansea, IL from 1958 to 1979, when he retired due to blindness. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Belleville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his:

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 at First Assembly of God, 900 Fair Oaks Drive, Belleville, IL with Rev. David Raynaud officiating.

    Dad, I am going to miss you so much. I love you so much. I am happy to the fact that you now can see what my children look like and also you are now looking at Jesus face to face. Saturday & Sunday will be hard for me, however, knowing that you are in Heaven gives me a sense of peace. I can't wait to get to Heaven and see you again. I love you. P.S. Don't worry about Mom, Tim & I are gonna make sure we take good care of her.
