, nee Edwards, 76, of Belleville, Illinois, born Friday, September 27, 1935, in Hartville, MO, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.


Wanda was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville Illinois. 
She was preceded in death by her:

  • Parents: Scottie and Bessie nee Davis Edwards
  • Sister: Dorothy Wampler

Surviving are her:

  • Husband: Milton A. Walter
  • Daughters:
    • Sandra (Jeffrey) Jouglard of Belleville, IL
    • Sheryl (David) Saunders of Sugar Land, TX
  • Brother: Ray Edwards of Cedar Creek, MO
  • Sister: Pauline Skinner of Mansfield, MO
  • Grandchildren:
    • Julie and Jacob Jouglard
    • Isaiah and Victoria Saunders
  • Dear Nieces & Nephews

Memorials:  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Kinder Cottage

Visitation:  Friends may call from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2012 at First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2012 at First United Presbyterian Church with  Pastor Conley Zomermaand officiating. Private family interment will be held in Hartville, MO

    So sorry for your loss. Wanda was one special lady. She was always kind and accepting. She certainly left her mark on the world. She will be missed.

    We were so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing while we were out of town. Wanda was a wonderful person who did much for others. She will be missed within the church and community. May God bless the Walter family in their loss.

    Mr. Walter,
    I was saddened to read of the death of your wife. I don't know if you will remember me but I used to play on your Khory League softball team with Dana Farley, Mary Dunn, Jodi Geshwen. I enjoyed those days! You were a great coach. I hope you are able to find the strenght to get through these difficult times.
