Vera C. Brown, nee Heisner, 98, of Belleville, Illinois, born Sunday, December 7, 1913, in Grand Chain, IL, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Vera worked as a Salesperson for Sears. She was a Charter member of Saint Matthew United Methodist Church Belleville Illinois and Rob Morris Chapter 98 O.E.S. .  

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Husband, Rollie T. Brown
  • Parents: Jacob and Anna nee Rehg Heisner
  • Brother: Russell Heisner

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Matthew United Methodist Church.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, March 5, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL and from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL.  An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Slone officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.

    To June and Darrell. Aunt Vera was so good. Always happy with a smile on her face. Have so many great memories bringing Grandma and Grandpa up there. She and uncle Rollie took us on our first trip to Steak and Shake. I though we had really it the big time! Love you both and love for Aunt V.
