Maureen G. Blazek, nee Clifford, 65, of Edwardsville, Illinois, born Friday, August 30, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehabilitation in Edwardsville, IL.
Maureen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Belleville Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents: John D. and Marian nee Carthy, Clifford
- Niece: Molly Kirksey
Surviving are her:
- Daughter: Kerrie Blazek of Las Vegas, NV
- Sister: Kathy (Dale) Kirksey of Granite City, IL
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the National Association for Down Syndrome
Visitation: Friends may call from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home with Fr. Clyde Grogan officiating. Private family interment will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Kathy & Kerrie, Jan & I are sending our deepest condolences for you loss. Kathy was a very fine person and will be missed by all of us. I wish that I was able to visit her more often. Brother Danny and I would visit Marion and Maureen when I was in town. Always had a fun visit over a cup of tea down in Signal Hill or lunch at English's in the neighbor. Will miss her a lot.
