I count it a honor to have known Bill Beatty and his family. Bill was one of a kind.. a true Gentleman in every sense of the word. He loved, and lived life with passion.. putting his God and his Family above all else.
Mascoutah was a small Mayberry Town, and Bill Beatty was our Andy Griffith..and it was good.. I miss Mayberry. Thank you Bill, for all your years of service to the City and Citizens of Mascoutah.. We will miss you, and smile at the memories of days gone by. You rest in the presence of God forever , and forever you will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved you. God Bless you Clara and Cindy, and family.. We love you!

Clara, Cindy, and family, my condolescences at Bill's passing. My prayers are with you.

Bill entered my life in a big way in the spring of 1975 as my "foster dad". Since then, I have been happy and content to simply call him "friend". In this capacity I had the pleasure of knowing the sensitive and loving family man and neighbor that he often tried to hide.

Thank you, Bill, for blessing my life and the lives of so many other...simply by being yourself.

God bless and comfort your family.

Clara and family, you all are in my prayers in dealing with your loss. I will miss him too. I will remember him as my first Chief, he took a young, eager kid and helped me to understand what serving a community meant.
I have a lot of good memories from my years in Mascoutah.
