Barry G. McGlynn

Barry G. McGlynn, 79, of Belleville, IL, born March 5, 1932, in London, Ontario, Canada, died May 22, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. McGlynn retired after working for 25 years in civil service for USA AVSCOM, STL and was a Franciscian priest for 10 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Belleville, IL

 

He was preceded in death by his:

Memorials:  Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL. There will be a prayer services at 4:00pm at the funeral home.

Funeral:  A funeral procession will leave from Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL at 9:45 am, Friday, May 27, 2011 for a 10:00am mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Father Matthew Elie officiating. By his request his body will be cremated after the services.

    Your family was so blessed to have Barry as your husband, father, or grandfather. He was a wonderful man who led a life without reproach. I am very sorry for his absence in your lives but am pleased that he is now resting with God and His angels. I know he would want each of you to take comfort in that.
